The expression HAVE GIVE is used to talk about materials. It means to be flexible, to have the ability to bend or stretch:

This new fabric has a lot of give.

I don’t like jeans very much. They have no give.

You can’t use this string. It has too little give.

This material has some give, but it’s not enough.

You can also use just the noun GIVE:

I think this ball is too hard to play. We’ll need one with a little more give to it.

I don’t like clothes with no give.
