Today we’ll learn some vocabulary related to birds.
This little bird is just hatching. You can see its beak/bill. Hopefully its parents are ready to take care of him.
This bird with dark plumage is still hatching her eggs. She’s very patient, but what else can she do if she wants to have children?
These two nestlings are waiting for their mommy with their mouths open. Maybe she’ll bring them some tasty worms.
They still don’t have normal feathers like their parents, just some down on their heads.
As the days are getting shorter and shorter, birds of passage fly to the south. But they must be careful. Birds of prey can be very dangerous. This one looks hungry.
Why is this bird fluttering its wings like crazy? We all know it’s not going to fly anyway. It’s too heavy after dinner.
The small bird perched on a branch and is watching his bigger friend. He can hardly help laughing.
